This is an ideal piece of music for the first month’s selection.

It introduces my two favorite contrasting elements: abstract sound design AND feel-good melodic phrasing. In the beginning months of this project, I was writing trombone music focused around some pretty heavy sound design. For this first release, I wanted to create something different.

It’s basically a dense transition to a nice song. You just have to persevere through the fog.

Next month’s tune will be a fun, feel-good ode to the desert.
